About The Owner

Hello, I am the owner of Premier Diving Services, LLC. My name is Ben Craven and I just want to briefly introduce my self to give you an idea of the experience behind Premier Diving Services. That is is me and my buddy Mario in the picture above. I was a “breakout diver” back in 2002 and I was getting dressed in for a 4hr handjetting dive to uncover a pipeline 12′ below the mudline! I started my career in 1999 when I went to the Ocean Corporation to learn commercial diving and for the next 17 years I worked my way up from a “tender” to class 3 diver, to class 2 diver, and class 1 diver and then to a supervisor. I did everything from platform removal, to pipeline repairs and installations working in 10-300fsw (feet of salt water) and have over 1500 logged dives (not all were logged) and thousands of hours on deep gas and air racks supervising 4-16-man dive crews. In 2016 though things took another bad turn in the oil and gas industry and I got tired of riding the rollercoaster and tried my hand at other things to make a living closer to home. After a futile effort in insurance sales, I started Premier Diving Services on Lake Conroe.

Small Beginnings

In July of 2017 I started a small “side business” cleaning hulls and changing anodes on the larger boats on Lake Conroe. After just a few months, one of the marinas on the lake needed to refloat their store, and because of my commercial background, asked if could put in a bid. I did and actually lost the bid! They hired another company to come in and I just kept cleaning boats. The first day they showed up they had hat parts everywhere (their diving helmets were in pieces). I saw the writing on the wall and decided to invest in the equipment I needed, and then I waited. Within two weeks I got a call to finish the refloat and that was the beginning of Premier Diving Services, LLC. We have grown since to offer dock repairs and dock building working above and below the water as well as many other services on Lake Conroe and now on Lake Livingston.
